More than a
rub-down.
The work
Sports massage at The Rehab Lab Plus is not spa massage with athletic branding. It's targeted deep-tissue work sequenced around your training load, informed by physiotherapy principles, and delivered by therapists who understand the sports you actually play. Muscle tension released. Fascial restrictions freed. Recovery windows sharpened.
Where sports massage
earns its place.
What it addresses
This is for you
if…
The right fit
You train hard and want faster recovery between sessions
You have an event coming up and want your body ready
You're an active professional whose body is quietly running out of runway
You want maintenance care, not injury care
You feel muscle tightness limiting movement or performance
Trained hands.
Trained thinking.
The approach
Every session starts with a short read of what's tight, what's compensating, and what's got you in the room. From there: deep-tissue work, myofascial release, trigger-point work, assisted stretching. Sequenced around your training or event, not delivered off a menu. Our sports massage therapists are trained alongside our physiotherapy team — the work integrates seamlessly if you need both.

The stories behind the recoveries.
Outcomes
“Long hours as a food delivery rider tighten everything. Regular sports massage here keeps me on the road — and they taught me quick stretches between deliveries.”
Faizal, 32 · Food delivery rider
“Dance instructor, multiple styles daily. They understand what different disciplines do to a body. Recovery windows I actually feel.”
Grace, 27 · Dance instructor
“Started wakeboarding at 45. My body wasn't used to it. The pre- and post-session routines they gave me changed how I ride.”
Tony, 47 · Weekend wakeboarder
“BJJ hits the forearms and grips harder than anything. They get it. Recovery between training sessions actually holds now.”
Ben, 33 · BJJ practitioner
Before you book.
Sports massage targets specific muscles and connective tissue used in exercise. It's more focused, often deeper, and integrated with physiotherapy principles. Spa massage relaxes. Sports massage rebuilds function.
No. Anyone with muscle tension benefits. Runners, gym-goers, weekend players, office workers, physically demanding jobs — if your body is asked to work, sports massage helps it recover.
It can be intense on tight spots — the "good pain" of a knot releasing. Never unbearable. Our therapists communicate throughout and adjust pressure to your comfort.
For heavy training: every 1–2 weeks. For moderate activity: monthly. For event prep: a session 2–3 days before, and one 1–2 days after. We'll advise based on your training cycle.
Regular sessions catch muscle tightness and imbalances before they become strains. Combined with proper training and rest, it's genuine maintenance work — not just recovery after the fact.
