About

The practitioner.

Leona is an ex-competitive middle-distance runner and a lifelong football player — someone who has lived the physical highs and setbacks of sport firsthand. That experience is not a footnote in her practice; it is the reason she trained as a physiotherapist in the first place.

Her own athletic journey shaped how she treats. She knows what it feels like to lose the ability to run, to sit out of a match, to grind through rehab in the hope of getting back. It made her committed to helping others recover, move better, and perform without hesitation.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Manchester and built her early clinical experience across the NHS in the UK — in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In Singapore, she has since worked in a private hospital across all inpatient wards, as well as in private musculoskeletal clinics.

That diverse background gives her range. She is comfortable across acute, sub-acute, and long-arc rehab cases, and she tailors treatment to the person in front of her, not the textbook next to her.

Certified in dry needling and sports massage therapy, Leona's focus is on personalised, functional rehabilitation. Her goal is simple: help you bounce back stronger, prevent the next injury, and get you moving with confidence — in surgery recovery, on the pitch, or on the road.

What

Leona

works on.

01

Post-operative rehabilitation

Structured, milestone-driven progression after surgery — protecting the repair early, then rebuilding capacity for real life.

03

Dry needling

Certified dry needling for targeted release of stubborn trigger points — used alongside functional rehab, not instead of it.

Areas of practice

02

Sports injuries

Acute and overuse sports cases — football, running, and everything in between. Rehab designed for return to full play, not just pain-free.

04

Return-to-sport rehabilitation

Bridging late-stage rehab and full training — objective testing, sport-specific loading, and a plan you can trust to hold up.
